Development
Lagunas de Matapalo is a 250 acre project located on the central pacific coast of Costa Rica. Phase 1 includes 52 villas and 42 one-acre home sites for private homes. Phase 2 will follow, and has not been planned out to date. The project is located on the Inter-coastal Highway, ensuring easy visibility and access, and extends to the ocean, with private ocean access. The property will be gated at both ends, on the highway and at the ocean, allowing for a safe, quiet community.
Matapalo was chosen because of its natural beauty, potential for development, and proximity to Manuel Antonio and Dominical. Manuel Antonio is the most popular tourist destination in Costa Rica, and the highway to Matapalo is scheduled to be paved this year. This will make the journey to Manuel Antonio a short 20 minute ride, while Dominical will be only minutes away. The beach at Lagunas de Matapalo received the prestigious Blue Flag award this year as one of Costa Rica’s best beaches.
Our goal is to establish a luxurious, peaceful community, allowing the residents to commune with nature at their leisure. We plan to help the community of Matapalo grow, providing jobs for Costa Rican residents and stimulating the local economy.
